Washing Machine Won’t Start Kuwait
Diagnosis for power, door-lock, water-inlet, control and wiring faults.
Start with the simple checks
Confirm the socket has power, the plug is secure and the door or lid is fully closed. Some machines will not begin if the control lock is active or if the selected cycle has a delayed start.
Door lock and water inlet
A washer can appear ready but refuse to start if the safety lock does not confirm or if the machine cannot detect the required water supply. Inlet valves, filters and pressure sensing may need diagnosis.
Controls, wiring and motor circuits
If basic checks are normal, a technician can test switches, wiring connections, control-board outputs, motor circuits and related sensors according to the model and error code.
Stop if there is an electrical warning
Disconnect the washer if there is burning smell, visible damage, moisture near electrics or repeated breaker trips.

Understanding a start failure
A washer that has lights but does not begin is different from a completely dead appliance. Record whether the door locks, the pump runs briefly, water enters, or an error appears. These observations narrow the fault to safety interlocks, inlet conditions, controls or the drive circuit.
Programme and control checks
Cancel delay start, release the child lock and select a simple cycle according to the user manual. If the control panel responds inconsistently, avoid repeated button presses; the selector, touch panel or main board may need testing.
Frequently asked questions
Can an unbalanced load prevent starting?
Load balance normally affects spinning, but some models pause early if the drum is overloaded or the door cannot lock correctly.
Why does the door click several times?
The control may be trying to confirm the safety lock. A misaligned door, worn lock or wiring fault can prevent confirmation.
Is resetting the washer a repair?
A reset can clear a temporary programme state, but a recurring failure needs diagnosis of the underlying electrical or mechanical cause.
