Washing Machine Making Noise Kuwait
Practical diagnosis for banging, grinding, scraping, squeaking and vibration.
What the sound can tell you
Noise during filling, washing, draining and spinning points to different systems. A thump may come from an unbalanced load, while grinding or scraping can require inspection of the drum, bearings, pump or drive system.
Check installation and load balance
Confirm the washer is level and stable and that transport bolts have been removed where applicable. Avoid overloading and redistribute heavy items before retrying a normal cycle.
Pump, bearings and drive components
Objects in the drain pump can create rattling during drainage. Persistent rumbling during spin can indicate wear in bearings or support components. Belts, couplers and motors may also create noise when worn or misaligned.
When to stop the washer
Switch it off if the noise becomes violent, the drum feels loose, there is a burning smell, water leakage or repeated breaker trips.

Describe the noise accurately
A rhythmic knock once per drum revolution, a deep rumble at high speed and a rattle only during drainage point toward different areas. Record a short video from a safe distance and note the load type, speed and cycle stage.
Simple checks that prevent false diagnosis
Make sure the feet are stable, the floor is firm and small objects are not trapped around the door seal. Empty pockets before washing. Do not continue a spin cycle if the drum strikes the cabinet or the machine moves violently.
Frequently asked questions
Is every loud spin caused by bearings?
No. Load balance, installation, suspension and foreign objects can create similar sounds.
Why does the washer rattle while draining?
Coins, buttons or debris may reach the filter or pump, though a worn pump can also rattle.
Can noise damage other parts?
Severe vibration can strain hoses, wiring and suspension, so persistent noise should be investigated.
